Objectives:
To remain involved in the workplace, despite my great age!
To continue learning and using my interpersonal skills and life experience
for the benefit of those for whom, and with whom, I work.
Relevant Experience:
I am Technically and Academically skilled, and fully ICT literate.
I have been using and 'messing about' with PC's since the late 1980's,
and am skilled in PC Installation and Maintenance, gaining the
'City & Guilds Certificate CET 304' in the subject.
I have further completed the 'City & Guilds Certificate CET 301'
in Data Communications and Networking course.
I assisted in setting up the Ellesmere Port Library Adult Learning
Centre, with 24 networked West-Cheshire College computers, and I helped
to devise, deliver and monitor several Basic Computer Literacy
courses for adults in the community: i.e. 'Clueless About
Computers', C.L.A.I.T and the E.C.D.L. I am a self-motivator, and
I possess an interested and mature outlook on work and life.
Interests
Include Voluntary work of all kinds - Adult Educationin the Community; fund-raising, and work with the homeless. I
have a current rage for Cycling, but enjoy Reading, Cooking and
Home Ale and Wine Brewing.
Finally...
I consider myself to be a good organizer, and know that I have the reputation
as a valuable 'team player'. My 'people' skills come from previously
working with my own staff and students, and in addition, I have
the ability to communicate effectively with my superiors. The
times between working in full-time positions and university, have
been spent traveling in Europe and working as a 'temp' in various
fields of employment. (Office, Warehouse, Factory.) I have also
used my time working as a volunteer, in Belfast and in Chester. I
have a caring nature and a mature outlook; and whilst I enjoy the
tension of teamwork, I also like the challenge of working on my own initiative.
